Jesus walked the earth for 33 years during which time He set the example for life that we are to follow.

He performed many miracles in His lifetime including walking on water across the lake to His disciples

Jesus carried that cross up a hill until His knees gave way again and again

His hands and feet were nailed to the cross and He was placed between two sinners to die

Jesus gave His life for ALL sin, for ALL people, for ALL time

On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven conquering death for all who believe in Him

Jesus is the Great Shepherd of God's people. He promises that He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us!

"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me - just as the Father knows me and I know the Father - and I lay down my life for the sheep"

"I am the gate for the sheep...whoever enters through me will be saved"

Mark and I and our children want to publicly declare our belief in Jesus Christ as Lord of Lords and King of Kings, as Comforter, Redeemer and Savior! And we want everyone to share in the hope we have in Him!

There is a Heaven...and...there is a hell...make no mistake about this. The Bible says that the streets of Heaven are paved in gold and that, in Heaven, there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain. The Bible also says that, in hell, there is worm-eaten flesh and the gnashing of teeth...that people will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Eternity is a very long time...so long...that none can even imagine it. All of us, after a short life on this planet, will reside in either Heaven - or hell...and the choice is ours to make.

Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). In this verse, Jesus tells us that one can only be a child of God...a member of the kingdom of Heaven...through Him. No amount of good that we do, no vast number of church services attended, no volume of charity and goodwill will ever be enough to "buy" our way into Heaven. The Bible says all have fallen short of the Glory of God...meaning we are ALL sinners. Therefore, without Jesus and His willingness to pay the penalty for ALL sin...not one single human being would ever make it to Heaven.

The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son" (John 3:16-18).

The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. The Bible goes on to tell us what we must "do" to claim everlasting life. Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again" (John 3:3). By this Jesus meant that one must make a conscious decision to accept the gift of salvation. One must die to the old, sinful nature and be re-born spiritually with Christ. We must ask and/or invite Jesus to be our savior. This requires one to pray a simple prayer. Before praying, one must know and believe these things: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary and became man. He walked the earth for 33 years while He taught, and preached, and loved humanity. He faced the very same struggles that each of us faces today, yet, He overcame the world. He was persecuted, ridiculed, and betrayed. He was crowned with thorns, beaten, humiliated, kicked, smacked, taunted, and spit upon. He was forced to carry a cross up a hill until His knees gave way again and again. His hands and feet were nailed to the cross and his side was pierced with a sword. He was pure, holy, and blameless, yet, He was hung on that cross (our cross - the cross of sin) between two sinners like a criminal. In His last breath as He hung on that cross, Jesus tilted His head towards Heaven, and with full control of His mind he said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And then He gave His life for us - He gave His life as payment in full - for ALL sin...for ALL people...for ALL time. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. He sits at the right hand of the Father as He prepares a place in Heaven for God's children. If you believe in Jesus Christ, that He lived, died, and rose again, please do not let another moment pass before you invite Him into your life and into your heart to be your Lord and your Savior...in another moment, it may be too late for you.

To accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, to secure a place for yourself in the Kingdom of Heaven, to have your name written boldly in the Book of Life, pray something like this:

Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner, I am unholy, unrighteous, and unworthy of your love and your kingdom. I am sorry for all the ways in which I have offended you and caused you pain. I ask you now for forgiveness for my sins. Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son...the Son of God...I believe that he was born to the Virgin Mary and became man, that he lived, died, and rose again so that I might have eternal life with You in Heaven. I pray, right now, right here where I am, that Jesus Christ would come into my heart, my soul, my mind, and my life. Dear Jesus, come into my heart right now, be the Lord of my life and the Savior of my soul. Thank you, Jesus, for paying the penalty for my sin. Thank you for forgiving me and for saving me through Your merciful grace. Amen.

You are FOREVER SAVED and upon your death, you will be welcomed into Heaven by Christ Jesus Himself. For now, welcome to the awesome family of God! Remember that we are part of the family of God, not because of anything that we have done, but because of the gift that was given to us through Christ Jesus. The Bible says, "For it is by GRACE you have been SAVED, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God" (Ephesians 2:8).

Jesus weeps for those who are still lost. He has paid the penalty for sin so that all people could be saved.

Jesus prayed that "not one would be lost." However, this world is full of the lost...full of those who do not know the Good News and who are not saved...full of those who, if they died right now, would be cast into hell for all eternity. Jesus weeps for those lost souls because He knows the horrible fate that awaits them there.

Therefore, we must spread the Good News...we must tell everybody we see about Jesus so that they might choose life for themselves. Time is running out - the end is near!
